Thomas Curtis (Lord Mayor) → Thomas Curtis (British politician) – or Thomas Curtis (pewterer) or Thomas Curtis (lord mayor) or Thomas Curtis (mayor) or Thomas Curtis (alderman). The capitalized partial job title is a poor disambiguator. —BarrelProof (talk) 01:38, 3 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Iffy★Chat -- 14:55, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- What about Thomas Curtis (London politician)? --Comment by Selfie City (talk about my contributions) 22:03, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- "London" is more specific than "British". My understanding is that more general disambiguation terms are ordinarily preferred (e.g., per WP:NCPDAB, although it doesn't specifically discuss whether identifying a country is preferred over identifying a specific city). —BarrelProof (talk) 19:18, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- Move to Thomas Curtis (lord mayor). Not a politician and not British; no such thing then. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:59, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- That's fine with me. —BarrelProof (talk) 20:23, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
- Best left as it is, except maybe the capitals, per above. Johnbod (talk) 01:51, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
