We should have an article on every pyramid and every nome in Ancient Egypt. I'm sure the rest of us can think of other articles we should have.
Cleanup.
To start with, most of the general history articles badly need attention. And I'm told that at least some of the dynasty articles need work. Any other candidates?
Standardize the Chronology.
A boring task, but the benefit of doing it is that you can set the dates !(e.g., why say Khufu lived 2589-2566? As long as you keep the length of his reign correct, or cite a respected source, you can date it 2590-2567 or 2585-2563)
Stub sorting
Anyone? I consider this probably the most unimportant of tasks on Wikipedia, but if you believe it needs to be done . . .
Data sorting.
This is a project I'd like to take on some day, & could be applied to more of Wikipedia than just Ancient Egypt. Take one of the standard authorities of history or culture -- Herotodus, the Elder Pliny, the writings of Breasted or Kenneth Kitchen, & see if you can't smoothly merge quotations or information into relevant articles. Probably a good exercise for someone who owns one of those impressive texts, yet can't get access to a research library.

The article credits Sanakht with a short reign before that of Khaba, which is indeed the current theory, but the timeline at the bottom credits Sanakht a long reign before that of Djoser. Needless to say that this timeline is in deep disagreement with the archeological proofs: seals of Djoser in the tomb of Khasekhemwy, identification of Djoser's mother as Khasekhemwy's wife in several tombs (one tomb prove of the first relationship, another the second one). Also Sanakht's reign must have been much shorter than 20 years given the traces he has left. Consequently, the timeline at the end of the article has been updated with the current theory (9 years, before Khaba). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.67.119.30 (talk) 15:46, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
An alternative theory holds that Sanakht reigned for a very short period of time between Netjerikhet and Sekhemkhet, with Sekhemkhet appropriating for himself Sanakht's unfinished pyramid. Should me mention this hypothesis in the article as well ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 163.1.246.64 (talk) 13:23, 16 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

The articles says the Third Dynasty is part of the Old kingdom but the chart on the side says it is before the Old Dynasty (Sorry, I'm not exactly sure how to write in the edit page) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.83.226.133 (talk) 08:09, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
