To improve the quality of writing, i like to suggest the following changes.

Change writing At the top of this section new sentence Thierry Breton (born 15 January 1955 in Paris) is a French businessman who is the current Chairman and CEO of Atos, an international IT services company with annual revenues of $ 12 billion and 74,000 employees across 48 countries. A former Professor at Harvard Business School, and a former finance minister of France, he has been Vice Chairman and CEO of Groupe Bull, Chairman and CEO of Technicolor SA, formerly Thomson SA and Thomson Multimedia (1997–2002), Chairman and CEO of France Télécom (2002–2005). Today he is an Honorary Chairman of both Thomson and France Telecom. From 2005 to 2007, he was the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry in the governments of Prime Ministers Jean-Pierre Raffarin and Dominique de Villepin, Jacques Chirac being the President de la Republique.

Mr Breton could not have been at the same time executive of CGI group (Quebec only in early 1990's) and elected member of Conseil Général Poitou Charente (France) between 1990 and 1993! In France we remember he was member of Conseil Général Poitou Charente, so CGI should stand for another company (Compagnie Générale Immobilière according to a former student of Ecole Centrale Paris). Please verify.

He was appointed Chairman and CEO of Atos in November 2008 and oversaw the acquisition of Siemens IT Solutions and Services in July 2011. [1]

During his career he has received numerous awards including the prestigious, French Légion d'Honneur (Officier) in 2008. In 2012 he was made a Grand Officier in the French National Order of Merit.[2]

Thierry is a graduate in electrical engineering and computer science from Supélec in Paris and a graduate from the French Institute for Higher National Defense IHEDN.[3] As well as being the author of many books about information technology and economy, during the 1980s he wrote a few fiction books. One of his most popular titles was Softwar [4], a Cold War thriller(La guerre douce), which he coauthored with Denis Beneich. Originally written in French, the book was translated into English in 1986.[5]

Is it true he acquired Senegalese nationality for some sort of non-dom tax benefit? 85.95.61.54 (talk) 16:23, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
