I created this page on 22 April. The page needs some work, still. Some items:

1. Sol Plaatjie - journalist (we need to add a redirect for Sol Plaatjie)
2. Nthato Motlana - businessman (he is mentioned in John Wesley College and Percy Qoboza but there is no article about him, I think)
3. Hendrik Johannes van Eck - industrialist (no article about him, but I suspect Hendrik Van Eck Airport is named after him)
4. Oubaas Markötter - sports coach (no article about him, but I suspect the stadium in Klerksdorp,_North_West is named after him (here without umlaut), and Paul_Roos_Gymnasium also mentions him (with umlaut)).
5. Taubie Kushlick - actress (no article, but is mentioned in Rae Hoffenberg and Face Value (book))
6. August Aimé Balkema - author (the Dutch Wikipedia mentions him but has no article about him either).

What would be nice is if someone more knowledgeable than me could add better labels for the people in the list. The existing labels are based on my incomplete knowledge of South African history. I've created a Taubie Kushlick article now. There are 6 interviewees in Face Value that feature in this list so I've made a mention of that too.Teatreez (talk) 12:04, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Name of page

I decided not to add "Media24" or "South Africa" or "survey" to the name because the "100 Greatest Britons" did not mention survey or BBC either. -- leuce (talk) 16:14, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
