Theodoric edit
Is the germanic name Theodoric related to Theodore, i would assume so but I'm curious since there were a few famous goths and franks by that name. 64.191.211.54 (talk) 20:10, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- No, it is not at all. Theodoric (or more correctly Teodoric) was formed from tiud-ric, meaning people-ruler. Nothing to do with Greek.

Gift of God edit
dictionary.com says the etymology is "gift of god" rather than "god given". That makes more sense to me as the root greek words are nouns. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.11.48 (talk) 19:00, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
Japanese version edit
