William Bendix's picture edit

William Bendix's picture is re-inserted because it helps to characterize the movie. His role motivates the title and the theme. Roesser (talk) 02:55, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • The page is sufficiently wikified. While the film itself does certainly serve as a primary source, Wikipedia requires secondary and third-party sources. Articles about films must satisfy the general notability guideline. At this point, the article lacks significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. The article needs additional sources to establish notability. Don't give up, we should be able to find something. Cind.amuse 09:35, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sounds reasonable, thank you for your contribution Roesser (talk) 15:15, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • A film meets the notability criteria, if it was selected for preservation in a national archive. In my opinion, TCM qualifies as a national archive (other editors may disagree). I think it would be advantageous if you would add content stating that it was selected by Turner Classic Movies for preservation in their archives and is widely distributed through their cable television network. This would solidify notability according to WP:Notability (films). You can use the TCM link already in the article to support this claim. With this notation, you would not need to find additional references, since it would meet the criteria for films. Great job on the article. Let me know if you have any questions or need help.
