Okay, I am copyediting as I go - please revert if I inadvertently change the underlying meaning. I will jot queries below. Casliber (talk · contribs) 19:40, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • The prose is a bit repetitive and stilted but I think it is easily fixable and am proceeding to do so.
Thank you very much for doing multiple copy-edits on the article. Crystal Clear x3 [talk] 01:47, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

*In the lead the reception is 'mixed', but in the Critical reception section it is positive. Need to reconcile the two.

  • In the talk section above, there is mention of a longer 9 minute video. Is there any reference discussing this anywhere available which can be discussed and added (if it exists)?
The only music video I've seen that has been posted by reliable sources (the official Youtube account for Jackson) shows a 6:44 length music video. The IP user who stated that it was 9 minutes long was incorrect. Crystal Clear x3 [talk] 01:47, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, just checking. Casliber (talk · contribs) 03:50, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • There isn't much about the lyrics and meaning at all - is there anywhere Jackson discussed his feelings about writing the song anywhere (like in a biography or interview or something)?
I have not been able to find any reliable sources stating that Jackson commented on the song. He did not make any mention of the song in things such as his 1988 biography Moonwalk or mention the song in interviews. Crystal Clear x3 [talk] 01:58, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I find that surprising really. I will try and look into it. Stuff it, I wouldn't know where to start...I'll take your word for it if you have the biography... Casliber (talk · contribs) 03:50, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

1. Well written?:

Prose quality:   - could be better and I will continue to massage.
Manual of Style compliance:

2. Factually accurate and verifiable?:

References to sources:
Citations to reliable sources, where required:
No original research:

3. Broad in coverage?:

Major aspects:   - we really need some commentary on how Jackson felt about the song and what it means (embellished from what it is now) however if there are no sources, we cannot make some from scratch, hence not applicable :)
Focused:

4. Reflects a neutral point of view?:

Fair representation without bias:

5. Reasonably stable?

No edit wars, etc. (Vandalism does not count against GA):

6. Illustrated by images, when possible and appropriate?:

Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:

Overall:

Pass or Fail:   - on hold
