Stopped distributing editorial comics and comic strips

An article at The Daily Cartoonist says that WPWG stopped distributing editorial cartoonists. They were picked up by a new syndicator called Counterpoint.^[1] This all happened last spring.

WPWG is also shedding the comic strips. Apparently they simply stop running them, one at a time as the contracts run out. Here is a note from Nov. 30 about Candorville being dropped, which links to a note last spring about other comics being dropped.^[2]

I would have guessed that a big-name syndicate deciding to cease distributing editorial cartoons and cartoon strips would have warranted coverage in the business press. But I haven't found any. So I don't have a citation for updating this article. -- M.boli (talk) 11:38, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
