Notes: Khan not genocidal? edit

While I agree with the gist of the correction of Tamerlane v. Ghengis Khan's involvement in the event mentioned in the episode, I have two issues. 1) Let's get a source citation with that correction. 2) Admittedly less clear cut of an issue, but how can you say Khan was "not generally genocidal?" While he did not pursue ethnic cleansing, the Mongols were notorious and well documented in their tradition of slaughtering every inhabitant of cities that did not yield, resulting in some of the largest civilian death tolls in the ancient world. Genocide need not be racially motivated. The act of wiping out a people if they resist still counts as "generally genocidal" in my understanding.
