editIn my opinion The Waltons were the best of the eighties IOW bands. They had songs, melody, humour, politics, stage antics and dodgy equipment. All that seems to have vanished from modern day music! (Knickerchain 14:33, 8 September 2005 (UTC))
TonyWalton? Is that really THE Tony Walton? If so I'm real sorry for messing up the page, I tried to make some additions and mucked it up. I have tried to refix it and I think I've got it back to where you had it, with a few add ons. Are you still writing music? (Knickerchain 14:38, 8 September 2005 (UTC))
- Well, I'm a Tony Walton (yes, it's my real name). I'm no relation to John-Boy, I'm not the Oscar-winning one that was married to Julie Andrews, I've never written a note of music in my life and I'm nothing to do with this band. I couldn't let an article with a name like that go unloved, though Tonywalton | Talk 14:47, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
Well it's a small world so you never know! The singer from IOW band The Waltons was sometimes referred to as Tony Walton. So I thought you might be him. Thanks for your help with the article, sorry I nearly messed it up! (Knickerchain 15:11, 8 September 2005 (UTC))
IOW Rock rocks!!!
Now it's going to get confusing 'cos I am THAT Tony Walton and I am still alive and living on the Isle of Wight. Of course my name was never really Walton, it started out as a joke with all the band members being called Walton as in the TV series. They were the sickenly wholesome Walton family and we were the opposite, the degenerate psycho-family that you wouldn't want as your neighbours. They were fiction but we were real. I'm not that Tony Walton either but I object to being described as a member of a "degenerate psycho-family that you wouldn't want as your neighbours." My neighbours were quite happy living next to me. (Dave Cheesybits)
