I don't think

challenging people Sowell refers to as "Teflon prophets," who predict that there will be future social, economic, or environmental problems in the absence of government intervention

sums up the gist of Sowell's complaint about the Anointed. That is a mere corollary. He's concerned with the blind rejection of reality in favor of one's vision - which is never checked against the real world to find out whether it fits or not. --Uncle Ed (talk) 14:08, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm creating this section to accumulate sources and reviews for eventual article improvement (and invite other editors to add what they find). There is a general view at WP:FTN that the book is an ironic argument and that this article lacks critical analysis. The following were posted there by Hemiauchenia:

https://www.independent.org/publications/tir/article.asp?id=484 Longer, by a literature professor, this appears more like a summary of the book's contents with little analysis, possibly useful to describe the book's main arguments and contents...
