Longest surviving ?
editTo suggest that the Vernon's girls are the longest surviving girl group is folly. The Beverley Sisters are the longest surviving girl group of all time. The Guinness World Records book says so. Although it is recorded in that book that it is without a change in the lineup. It is hardly an achievement to have a girl group that have not had any recording contract for years no TV appearances etc and have had so many incarnations that it is not recognizable as a group at all. The fact that they were essentially backing singers empahsises the point further
- Fair point - article amended accordingly. Please sign your comments (4x~). Thank you,
Maureen Kennedy year of death
editAccording to this site, Maureen Kennedy died in 1967, not the early 1970s. 68.146.71.145 (talk) 16:18, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- See the note I've added in the rewrite I've done. I've not added it as a reference in the main body as it's a web site, but I think it's safe to assume it's more trustworthy than the site you mentioned, as it's a family research site. Pity there wasn't a full date of death there to clinch it. Perhaps someone might want to dig further on this new info? Brieflysentient (talk) 01:10, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
