sampling

edit

does it really sample the older song? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.180.238.179 (talk) 15:53, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The bit after they say "dirty bit" reminds me of a song I used to hear in a dance club back around 1997/1998, but I don't know if I ever found out what it was called. Fxm12 (talk) 20:31, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dirty Bit

edit

There was, at one point, a wikilink to dirty bit that has been removed. This being an encyclopedia, should the link be restored? The relevant line was in Critical Reception heading, "[...] was confused at the meaning of "dirty bit"." Jerr (talk) 06:37, 8 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do others find the claim that "the stochastic interjections of the phrase dirty bit seem to refer to the computer engineering use of this term" rather tenuous at best? Just the fact that they use the phrase "dirty bit" and that the song has some electronic influences seems like a pretty weak connection to me. 153.31.113.20 (talk) 14:23, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Strongly agree. I marked it as [citation needed] Tarcieri (talk) 05:43, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The song starts with a chorus that is taken from "The Time of my Life" from Dirty Dancing, then the singer says "Dirty Bit" which immediately drops into an instrumental which is clearly in the "Dirty Dutch House" genre. Dirty Dutch is described here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styles_of_house_music and "Dirty Bit" is simply refering to the genre of music being played. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.176.105.139 (talk) 09:21, 18 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
