Can anyone clarify this? What is meant by "folksy"? Apart from the My Week feature, most of what is described would seem to apply to just about any Sunday tabloid.

Also:

With its wide circulation and longevity, The Sunday Post may have set a model for written Scots and its spelling that was more widely-read and understandable than the literary Lallans of the Scottish Renaissance poets[citation needed].

This really does need a citation! The only parts of the Sunday Post that are written in Scots are the comic strips The Broons and Oor Wullie - everything else is in English, with BrE standard spelling and grammar. AdorableRuffian 19:44, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Political allegiance

The political allegiance of the paper is listed as "Scottish-centric". What does this mean? It links to Scottish independence. Has the Sunday Post taken a pro-independence stance? If so, cite it please. Mutt Lunker 17:35, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

HON man

I've added my dad Bernard McGovern's name to the HON man section as he wrote the column alone for many years. I'm sure other folk may have contributed but it was far from a free-for-all, unlike Francis Gay which to the best of my knowledge was swapped between different journalists all the time. And I'm afraid I had to remove it as unsourced. You'll have to provide a reliable source before it can be included in the article. You should also read original research. I was sorry I had to remove it as it seemed interesting and worthwhile. I'm glad you're willing to attempt to include it with a proper source. Wikipedia's rules can make things difficult in cases such as this one, where someone has firsthand knowledge of an event. The simplest solution would be to find a published report (newspaper, book, radio show, etc.) that your father was indeed the author. Use of the photo raises copyright issues. Last newspaper with an office on Fleet Street?

Is the "Sunday Post" the last newspaper with an office on Fleet Street in London? I was watching a foreign language TV news broadcast and it appeared to report such. I can understand the language, but wasn't paying attention to it as much as I should have. If so, that item should be included in this article as it is significant and it would improve the article to include it.--TGC55 (talk) 17:59, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
