Trivia

Trivia - The section on swear words seems to have come from the obsessive-compulsive keyboard of somebody from capalert.com - the Christian group that counts every single supposedly objectionable word. I think this is a big slice of POV.

2031?!

"Who told you this movie takes place in 2031?" Bobber1.

As you see, I'm an avid SpongeBob fan and the month and year the movie takes place in is March 2004, not March 2031.

    • I can prove you're very wrong: Spongebob won 374 consecutive employee of the month awards, which is 31 years, and 2 months. Spongebob joined the Krusty Krab in 1998. So, 31 years and 2 months would basically be around, well, 2029/2030. And IF The movie took place in March 2004, SpongeBob would have started working there in November 1972. 1972 is 5 years BEFORE the Krusty Krab opened, 13 years BEFORE SpongeBob was born, and 20 years before Squidward started working there. The calender in Spongebob's bedroom AND the calender at the Krusty Krab both are in March: March 7th has a drawing of the Krusty Krab 2 in Spongebob's room. When he updates the Krusty Krab calender, Plankton says: "March 14! No wait, it should say the day that Krabs fries!" -AMK152
  • Change everything to March 14, 2031, the show is TIMELESS!
  • To what was just said: ...HUH?! Also: I didn't even know it was possible to indicate when anything related to spongebob took place... - Wrathofmn7
  • damn... you guys pay attention to everything. Well I guess that proves it Armanalp 18:25, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I thing it's safe to say you've all lost your minds,if it took place in 2031 Mr.Krabs would be like 90 Sponge and pat would be in there 50's - SBLM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.119.182.160 (talk) 22:01, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

King Neptune II

"I could presume/assume that the "Neptune's Spatula" Neptune is the real one and i could assume that the movie Neptune is King Neptune II" Bobber1.

Resemblences

"The Cyclops in this movie resembles a Scooby Doo, Where Are You? creature" Bobber1.

The entire plot parallels The Odyssey by Homer. The cyclops, the place of the dead, its all exactly the same.

Australia

"When the movie was released in Australia, it was rated G. The less-restrictive rating suggests that Australians either have different tastes in movies, or that the movie was edited for the Australian audience."

WHAT?! It was also rated U in the UK which is the equivalent of a G rating, without any editing? Hey, here's a thought, maybe Australians and Brits just aren't as sensitive as Americans (not that that's necessarily a bad thing, different cultural values and all) --81.178.194.72 03:18, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

Maybe when the movie was rated G in Australia, the bad words, "jackass", "damning", and "freaking", were changed to "jackwhibble", "darning", and a double "no". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.21.34.216 (talkcontribs) Even if there was no languge,it woud still be PG for crude humor and scary scenes.

Hey! Somebody deleted the whole film's article! Who did this?

I think that man or woman is right of doing that. Because somebody replaced SpongeBob with the DreamWorks kid King Neptune and Mindy as MGM lions and the movie's title was The DreamWorks Kid Movie. You people need all the help you can get!: catchphrase of SideshowBob99 22:31, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

What's with all the lists?

I don't like all these lists at the start of the article. They should really be at the end. --Differentgravy 21:27, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

no no freaking way!

in my version of this sponge bob clearly still says freeking in goofy goober song

and ilive in ausie but he mr krabs still says jackass and damming is still sain

Neither does sponge --66.139.11.116 01:13, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

no one does

If you weren't deaf you know that they do swear. Well, are ya? I don't know, actually. You people need all the help you can get! catchpharse of SideshowBob99 22:32, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Damming isnt actually a swear word you know... Damming means to condemn as unfit etc. Thats taken right out of the dictionary. I think that Damming should be taken off as a swear word. And I do not know where Mr. Krabs says 'Jackass' could you please tell me where it is in the film? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dinobert06 (talkcontribs) 06:34, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

He says when he was whispering to Spongebob near the beginning but I don't recall Spongebob swearing —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.24.186 (talk) 01:06, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

On my DVD, SpongeBob sings the words "No, no, fr***ing way!" I saw it on TV the other day, and it was edited out. Then earlier I saw it again, unedited. Also, I'm pretty sure when Mr. Krabs is whispering to SpongeBob, he says "jack***." It's right before SpongeBob says, "I'm making a complete what of myself?" --Alice2 (talk) 03:07, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Failed GA

This article failed the GA noms due to lack of references. Tarret 21:34, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Certainly not the only problem with this article. Needs to be brought in-line with Wikipedia:WikiProject_Films recommendations. Get rid of trivia, taglines, release dates, foreign titles, genre, box office success etc (the last two should be included in "Production" or the lead section). Also, the Credits Songs section is a bit unfinished (what with it having no content whatsoever). Format the cast list as WikiProject:Films suggests.  -- Run!  23:02, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Lyrics and Trivia

Does this article really need the lyrics to all of the songs? Also, some of the trivia is pretty incomprehensible. --user.lain 04:25, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Three Swear Words

In the trivia section they said that there were three swear words in the movie. But what were they? I can't believe they would put swear words in a kids' movie!

Those tags are annoying. But gotta love how it says it's blasted with gay undertones. Which are the 3 words? My god! There are no swear words. It's just vandalism.66.139.11.116 01:12, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

How come I can't erase the "Swear" words thing? Its in the article, but when I go to edit it it's gone. --66.139.11.116 19:22, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid there are. Can't you stop lying? Watch the film again and see what I mean.

Trivia problem

Someone check the artilce and see if my edit (check my IP) to the Triva section shows up.On my computer it doesn't show up but if I got to put it back on it shows up in the edit.

Userbox

I made a Goofy Goober userbox, it's a bit big but it's on my userpage if anyone's interested. I'm Kinda Awesome... 20:34, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
