I'm calling for a proper editing of this page

Programming?

Do we actually have any solid information on what shows are being aired on this block for sure? I know when Keenan Thompson spoke to the public about this he mentioned some shows, but the language seemed to hint at possibility rather than confirmed anything.

OK, I made some changes. I trimmed the programs to what was listed in the Entertainment Weekly source (not sure how reliable their information is though). I changed the date in the lede to July as per the newer source (Nick and More provided an update to the original article that was cited here before). And I removed the dates from the programming section since it doesn't really seem to serve any purpose. SQGibbon (talk) 06:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Explanation of Edits

I have noticed there is a high amount of adding and removing of programing, and whenever it is changed from what some believe is the "correct" programming, it is marked as vandalism and reverted. I just want to explain why I edited what I did today - I removed Inside Out Boy and Hey Dude and inserted Secret World of Alex Mack. This edit is not just because of what I think should be on the show, but is properly referenced to a Washington Post article, which is considered a reliable source.

Now, in the description before the episodes, it says not to edit without a reliable source, which I have, but also says that the shows are on the list because "they are in the commercial". I don't think the commercial alone is a reliable source - shows occasionally put something in a commercial that does not end up airing (Make It or Break It is notorious for doing this). Plus, there were no clips (in the three commercials I saw) for Hey Dude! I'm not sure about Inside Out Boy. Either way, the list I have gathered from Washington Post, the schedule that Nickelodeon themselves confirmed, is as follows:

This should help clarify what will and won't be part of this block. There will probably be a lot of people editing this page tomorrow, because of this, as well. I duly noted your addition to the reliable sources, and have kept Alex Mack in the list (good find, by the way). It appears, given the most recent trailer and that list, that Hey Dude and Weinerville are recent additions to the queue, since neither had been mentioned until that trailer came out on July 22 and that might explain why weren't listed in the WaPo's list, which came out yesterday. Now, as for whether or not a commercial trailer can be considered a reliable source... as I understand it, the answer is yes. Commercial trailers are a primary source, and Wikipedia policy states that "A primary source may (...) be used on Wikipedia to make straightforward, descriptive statements that any educated person, with access to the source but without specialist knowledge, will be able to verify are supported by the source." As I stated in the edit summary, the commercial trailer was an official release advertising the block, which would indicate (or at least strongly imply) that the shows advertised and included in the trailer would also at some point be included in the block. Also, keep in mind that there are such things as false advertising laws in the United States, and advertising that shows will be included while not having the intention to show them could get them into a certain amount of legal trouble. One other thing to keep in mind is that the phrasing is "expected to be," since we're dealing with a lot of forward-looking statements and we have no idea when any of these shows will eventually be seen (given that the first two weeks will only have four shows, it might be a while). So, given the evidence at hand, I think it's best to keep those shows in the list until proven otherwise. Response to Explanations of Editing

Well even though your true about it... They somehow showed out new ones in the commercials, and such. They might not be the only ones confirmed, Hey Dude, and Weinerville is possible due to that they show it in The 90's are All That Anthem Video for some reason. Right now the block is airing on Nick At Nite at 8:00 PM in July 3rd, I have look it up, but I couldn't find the reason for this. Re: game shows

Ladies and gentlemen, please STOP placing any further claims that this block will be airing game shows on a regular basis. None of the TV listings providers have indicated any permanent change in the schedule, nor has Nickelodeon itself said anything about this being beyond a one-week thing. He is the youngest Generation Xer before Sheetz, Shaw, Glover, Arthur, Sylvester, Thomas, and Hensel, but younger than Volding, who is an example of his agers' X generation. The Splat

Family Double Dare on Friday 10-9-2015? Instead of the *original* Double Dare?

Was that confirmed for sure? At least last I checked, according to the Viacom Affiliates page, the ORIGINAL Double Dare (1986-1988) was going to air on Friday, 10-9-2015, and not Family Double Dare. Maybe they changed it, maybe they didn't, I don't know (hence why I ask ;P )
