the who edit

I'm sorry, I ddn't understand a word of the "the who" paragraph, but I can't edit it, because I don't know what it should be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uiuiui7 (talkcontribs) 21:40, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Legacy edit

Perhaps someone could pull together some material that attempts to prove that Saturday Night Live and other shows owe a debt to the Smothers Brothers for uh... lowering the bar as to what is acceptable on TV. 76.253.72.116 (talk) 01:06, 19 June 2015 (UTC)EricReply

President Johnson edit

On the last show Dick Smothers read a letter from President Johnson stating:
“It is part of the price of leadership of this great and free nation to be the target of clever satirists. You have given the gift of laughter to our people. May we never grow so somber or self-important that we fail to appreciate the humor in our lives.” http://www.snopes.com/lbj-smothers-brothers/
Should this be added about the show finale? 22yearswothanks (talk) 01:57, 10 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Name of the second show? edit

I am remembering that the second show - the restart - was titled "The Brothers Smothers Comedy Hour". I'll do some poking around to see what I can find. If another editor has sources that can be checked for this I invite you to do so. Thanks! THX1136 (talk) 13:54, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Why no mention of an entire show? edit

"The Return of the Smothers Brothers" was broadcast February 16, 1970. I remember vividly Peter Fonda reading part of the Declaration of Independence, and it sounded extremely subversive. 2602:306:BC65:4189:4CA:C8C7:E5C6:C881 (talk) 18:35, 14 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Leigh French edit

Leigh French was also on the show often. Should she be listed in the cast? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 04:18, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
