Track list formatting edit

I think the track listing for this record should be formatted using 2 {{Track listing}} tables: one for the standard release of the album and one for the extended mix. Maybe that will have to wait until the album is officially released so that there can be proper songwriting credits for each track and also proper side designations for the LP. Disagreed: it's ugly and shouldn't be used on any articles. It should be deleted. This article uses a plain list style. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 17:25, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
But why? That makes this album page visually inconsistent with all of the other King Gizzard studio releases. Framesloaf (talk) 18:15, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Because it's ugly and shouldn't be used on any articles. See MOS:VAR, MOS:RETAIN, and WP:ALBUMSTYLE: there are some style issues on Wikipedia that are not predetermined and instead vary from article to article. In those cases, whomever establishes a style on a given page first makes that be the style for that page. This article uses list-defined references, DMY dates, Australian English, and a plain list track listing: it doesn't have to and not every article on this site does, but this one can and should because those were the styles chosen from the outset. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 18:19, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's ugly and cluttered as it is now, especially with the Extended mixes being included, it should be consistent with the layouts of their other albums. I've made an edit to make it cleaner and easier to read. supmyman7 (talk) 18:58, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Did you read MOS:VAR, MOS:RETAIN, and WP:ALBUMSTYLE? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 19:05, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did and I fully stand by how I did it, and how the OP suggested as well. supmyman7 (talk) 16:02, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
There's more than one acceptable style, therefore, it is unacceptable for you to arbitrarily change it. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 16:12, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
