I admit, I'm biased. It's my hometown mall. There's a lot of information but I'm a little lost as to what makes malls notable. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 15:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I marked the original document with the CSD tag as there was no assertion that this mall was notable. Looking at the current revision, of the three sources mentioned, one is a primary source, one only mentions the mall in passing, and one discusses the closing of the mall. To my mind, this doesn't meet the requirements in WP:CORP, as there is only one secondary source that mentions this mall in detail - and only for the closing of the mall, so that doesn't seem to me to meet WP:Notability, specifically where it states, "Wikipedia is not a news source: it takes more than just a short burst of news reports about a single event or topic to constitute evidence of sufficient notability." - I don't entirely disagree. I just felt the need to flesh it out. I thnk there are sources and search shows that to be the case, but I can 't access the archives at the moment. I have seen malls kept at AfD, for example so I don't think it's a speedy. I'd ask that you give me some time to peruse the archives, I just did enough to save it from a no-context speedy. If the OP can confirm landmark, which I don't think is true as that was my mall of choice for 20+ years, it would help. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 17:56, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'd agree completely that it isn't anything close to a speedy now - there is at the very least an assertion of notability (and potentially more then that). Looking at the first 20 results from that search, it seems that the malls that were kept (that haven't subsequently been deleted, since their AFD), had something that was, well, notable about them, i.e. first, or largest. Searching for "nanuet mall" (with the quotation marks) yields only 11 results on that website - with the majority of the ones that reference the mall in the free amount available to view discussing the closing of the mall. - Sorry, was out of town. I found a bit more that I'd like to dig through. The JOurnal News' archive is not the most functional. I have a subscription and I'm going to see which of those accessible through Google news may help with anything. It looks as if I'll be supporting deletion, but I want to give it a bit more time. Plan to work on it in the next few days. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 16:45, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Brinks robbery
editI'm not sure why someone edited the Brinks robbery paragraph to claim that it occurred in Nyack. The incident's wiki indicates that it occurred in Nanuet at the mall, and there are several NY Times articles which corroborate that. Here are two examples: http://www.nytimes.com/1981/11/29/nyregion/reporter-s-dismissal-in-brinks-s-case-defended.html?scp=1&sq=brinks+robbery+nanuet&st=nyt http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/04/us/politics/04ayers.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=brinks%20robbery%20nanuet&st=cse
