Does anyone have any information on the "well-known" RAF story mentioned in the article? I'm curious, but more importantly a reference would be good for the article. Scribeoflight (talk) 18:05, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is it worth noting that Forsythe flew Vampires during his time in the RAF and thus would have been intimate with the aircraft? I've not read the novel but is his knowledge of flying the plane used?(Morcus (talk) 04:24, 17 May 2011 (UTC))Reply

-- He makes reference to the fuel range, the stall speed, the lack of an ejector seat and the near-impossibility of baling out of the plane without being killed or maimed (an escaping pilot would almost certainly hit the tailplane; a glance at the book jacket should suggest why this is so). Otherwise any aviation references would be equally applicable to any small jet of similar type. Captain Pedant (talk) 22:31, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Interior Illustrations

I've heard that several artists supplied interior illustrations to various editons, Chris Foss and Lou Feck are the only two I know of. Are there any others? 58.169.57.241 (talk) 07:53, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
