Both the German title and its English translation have articles. The German-titled page gets redirected to the overture-page. The overture-page has information about the other movements in the incidental music. DavidRF 17:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Right now the overture and the set page have been merged together, and the overture page, deleted. Some more info on the movements and on a related composition have also been included. Rctay 11:05, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Question edit

I wonder why there is not even a phrase giving the reason this music was composed. "Turkish March" is mentioned 3 times but no editor has had the courage (?) to write a couple of words concerning Beethoven's inspiration and meaning of the work: the total ruination of Athens and the destruction of the Parthenon cause of the Turkish occupation, the elimination of the Greek ideals and extermination attempt of the Greek people by the Turks. "Congratulations"! Hiding the truth even in such a work of art! Disgusting --Φοίνιξ (talk) 16:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like a valid piece of information that would improve the page. Why don't you add it to the page (with a proper reference of course)? Tomixdf (talk) 18:11, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
