Anyone know if Sean Tyrrell's 'The Rising of the Moon' is a derivative or alternate lyric version of this traditional song? There is a (limited?) playable link to it here:
It's the same tune alright, albeit slowed down compared to most versions I've heard. The lyrics are completely different, though. From the sample, it seems to have more of a peaceful theme compared to the war ballad of the original. --BDD (talk) 17:45, 9 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
