Muskegon?

edit

Why is Muskegon listed as a city of origin along with Detroit?

Arrangement Spelled Wrong

edit

Arrangement is spelled wrong in the last sentence of the first paragraph. Please correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.123.61.62 (talk) 21:52, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Does it seem spammy to anyone else...

edit

Does it seem spammy to anyone else to have the image at the top of the page that of a book? Seems like there ought to be a better image to use that would be more neutral. Unforgiven24 (talk) 15:57, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

reference 1; Michigan History

edit

The link in reference 1 has nothing to do with the Purple Gang. It's all about a man named Booth and a place called Cranbrook; not one mention of the Purple Gang or the Bernstein brothers. Someone needs to find a proper link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.194.36.163 (talk) 13:29, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

What Happened to This Article?

edit

Who took all of the information out of this entry? And why? It no longer has any history of the Purples, lists no names and incidents, and links to almost nothing else. The Detroit News story linked as reference 1 has far more information than this now-useless article. 72.227.138.15 (talk) 18:16, 23 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

edit

The Eminem song listed does not refer to 'Purple Gang' as the mobsters. It refers to Purple Gang the rap group from Detroit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Higgers10 (talkcontribs) 00:14, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I second this. Purple Gang was a group signed to Proof's record label. He's clearly talking about them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.156.136.229 (talk) 15:30, 24 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
