Talk:The Moan

Can anybody tell me what's the deal with the "third and last Alive Records album" thing? I mean, if The Moan is the third, what is the second, cause Thickfreakness was recorded for Fat Possum. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mambojumbo (talkcontribs) 06:31, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe that "The Moan" is a take off of Howlin' Wolf's "Moanin' at Midnight", but with some variations. If anyone is to be credited for "The Moan" it should be Howlin' Wolf Taylor or Dan Auerbach/Patrick Carney. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.126.131.14 (talk) 17:19, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Does this not confuse the heck out of anyone? "The Moan is the third release and first EP by the American blues-rock duo The Black Keys, released in 2004. This is their last release for Alive Records, as the band switched to Fat Possum Records to publish their 2003 LP Thickfreakness the previous year." It's their last recording on that label because there was another album recorded on a different label previously? Does time not work the way I thought it did? Perhaps should read "The Moan is the third release and first EP by the American blues-rock duo The Black Keys, released in 2004. This is their first release for Alive Records, as the band switched from Fat Possum Records to publish their 2003 LP Thickfreakness the previous year." --124.114.107.247 (talk) 04:07, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
