From what I recall, at the end of the film it rained and his suit disintegrated. The suit being obviously unsuited to English weather, the crowd left him alone. A passer-by gave him a coat. Can anyone confirm this memory?
- I think it was just because the material was unstable.

Mackendrick had three films in the BFI Hundred. This was the lowest rated (58) and probably the most subversive of the three. Ealing comedy was not without teeth.Delahays (talk) 16:31, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
The JETSONS had an episode based on this movie. The "invulnerable" suit, with George Jetson inside it, survives all sorts of tests, only to fall apart when Mrs. Jetson runs it through the laundry 2001:558:6011:1:74F2:9421:4EFD:C243 (talk) 04:25, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
