User:Nomopbs The book is notable because its a published book by a notable author Daniel Defoe and the book is about a noteworthy historical individual Henry Avery. Jolly Roger edit

Academic edit
There are several academic articles on the web about this book. It appears to be quite a liked topic with researchers who prefer history, the Caribbean, pirates, etc. I think it needs to be expanded a great deal, but not deleted. A book from 1709 still has worth.
