Appropriate to reprint full lyrics?

Based on a real ship?
editThere are a few websites on the internet that claim that the song is based on a real ship "The Irish Rover". Is there any way to verify if this is the case or not? Either way, I think it should mentioned in the article. I am asking because the journey is also mentioned in 1806 but if this is entirely fiticious, it should be removed there. --Proofreader (talk) 09:14, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
