Suzanna Son and Amy Seimetz edit

WP:RSS reports here and here that actress Suzanna Son and director Amy Seimetz left the show in April 2022 due to creative differences with the Weeknd. For some reason, this info has been removed from the page multiple times. The only reason given was in this manual reversion Suzanna didn't left the show. It seems this page is full of edit warriors. Is there RSS contradicting the Deadline and Variety articles reporting that Son and Seimetz left in April or not? Regards. Maddy Perez speculated "cameo" edit

Using these four references[2][3][4][5] Alexa Demie has been listed in Guest as playing Maddy Perez. Euphoria and The Idol do take place in same universe, so while it is possible, there isn't an actual source that says she is playing the same character.

  • From The Direct: "Many are now speculating that Demie is playing Euphoria's Maddie Perez" & "it's impossible to tell if Maddy Perez actually made an appearance in The Idol"
  • From Screen Rant: "including a brief cameo from Alexa Demie, who may or may not be reprising her role as Maddy Perez from Euphoria in The Idol" "At this point, there's no confirmation on whether Demie is supposed to be playing Maddy in The Idol."
  • From Pinkvilla: "Sam Levinson, the co-creator of The Idol alongside Abel Tesfaye, revealed during the series' Cannes preview that Euphoria and The Idol exist in the same universe"
  • From The Messenger: Same confirmation of same universe above and "So who's to say that isn't future Maddy dancing away in the club"

I've left the mention of her in guest, but removed her character being Maddy as it is not confirmed and it's just speculation/OR to say it is her at this point in time. It was added back in again, so figured would start a discussion on the subject here. She is only credited as “club girl number two”.(Teen Vogue) WikiVirusC(talk) 13:49, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
