Talk:The Idea of the Holy

New Article- Sorry about the poor quality edit

Hello. I have started this article because it is a significant gap in Wikipedia that there should not be an article about Idea of the Holy. It is one of the most significant works in Theology or Philosophy of Religion of the 20th Century, as a brief Google will illustrate.

That said I have never created an article before and am afraid I do not know the protocols involved. I hope other people with more of an understanding in editing articles will take over this page and make it workable. The current material is taken from one of the first google searches on the Idea of the Holy. It is by John Durham as listed below. This is all apart from the introduction which is taken from the section in the Otto aritcle on Idea of the Holy.

Good. That's a good start. Might be a good idea to ask the permission of the author before copying his work over to Wikipedia, though. However, I'm happy that an article on this topic finally has been started. Twipley (talk) 22:36, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

The only material in this article that was not copied from this external source (which is clearly reserved) was copied from Rudolf Otto without attribution. Material from that article is, of course, usable here, but credit must be supplied to its creators (see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia for processes). Since the only usable material in the article was redundant and the copyright violation was foundational, the article has been deleted and replaced with a redirect. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:35, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
