Old reference from earlier version
edit"This fragment tells the story of the aftermath of the defeat of the English in the aforementioned battle.<ref>{{cite web|author =Thompkins, J. Case|year=Fall 2002|url=http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0OON/is_4_23/ai_99848430| title="The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth Beorhthelm's Son": Tolkien as a modern Anglo-Saxon|work =Mythlore|accessdate=2006-03-13}}</ref>"
This above is from an earlier version of the article. It should be checked and restored to an appropriate point in the article. It is also in the "external links" section. Carcharoth 11:50, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
More old stuff
editAn old version had the following sections that could be restored if needed, though they need content added to them (they were just headers at the time):
==Plot== ==Tolkien Variations on Old English== ==References== <div style="font-size: 90%"> <references /> </div>
I also removed the "poetry stub" and "no context" templates, as the article seems adequate now. Carcharoth 12:54, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Spurious Link
editThe Reference to ofermod could point to several relevant places, which can be found by Goggling "ofermod" and clicking on "ofermod Tolkien." Instead, it points, irrelevantly, to an obscure Swedish rock band. (Perhaps I'm the only person in the world who has not heard of this band: if so, I owe someone an apology. Otherwise, otherwise.
