Talk:The Headless Horseman (novel)

Not quite sure if this can be called an "American novel". It may have been based on a story the author heard or saw in Texas, but he had not lived in the US since at least the beginning of the Civil War, if I understand correctly. It was a novel about Texas, written by a Scott while he was in Ireland - since this was during the time of the Union, I suppose that makes it British? I have lived in Texas all my life and never heard of this.--Bellerophon5685 (talk) 01:38, 30 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
