few questions edit

it's fantastic this series it getting more and more attention. this page was a stub for a very long time, and I was planing to add some stuff. now I have to see if something is missing.

a question for the initial author - where did you get the data about the Machine? I managed to contact the designer of the series - Nick McCallum, and he gave me lots of data about it, mainly about the construction. I don't believe I've ever made them public, except some stuff on my blog month or two ago.

All the info I have added comes entirely from the series itself.

Tomorrow's End DVD edit

I got this from the ACTF back in May in my email, it mentions Tomorrow's End (the series) getting the DVD treatment:

Thank you for your enquiry. Girl from Tomorrow is in fact being released

on DVD by Shock Records. The complete series 1 is due out mid this year and the complete series 2 (Tomorrow's End) is due out later in the year. I do not have an exact date but feel free to check Shock's website at

www.shock.com.au or contact them on 03 9014 0200 for more information.

--Lid2000 16:12, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added new details about the DVDs after contacting Shock Exports and the ACTF, with an exact release date and information about the sequel series.

--User:Tallaussiebloke 21:04, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I got this response from asking Shock Records about the Tomorrow's End complete series release.

Thanks for your email.
Yes Shock DVD will be releasing this series in 2007. Keep an eye on www.shock.com.au for updates.

So looks like the release will be next year, with any luck there won't be as much deterioration on the episodes as on the first series, as they're not as old.

DVD Region Codes edit

I have the Telemovie version of The Girl From Tomorrow on DVD, and it is a Region 0 (zero) disc, not a region 4 as one might expect. The encoding is PAL, so any PAL capable DVD player should be able to play it.

I've not tried the other DVDs, but I imagine they will be similarly region encoded. A lot of Australian DVDs are encoded as Region 0 in my experience.

--Orbling 14:00, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Now I have the 4-disc set sent from Australia, I can confirm that it is PAL-encoded, Region 0. So plays fine on European players.

Book adaption edit

It was also made into a book. Andjam 07:49, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two books, in paperback, one per series.Geffers 12:26, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I heard that the series were based on the novels - can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, they don't appear to be mentioned in the article... 79.77.204.217 (talk) 09:50, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

The book were definitely based on the series.--NeilEvans (talk) 13:11, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Alana.jpg edit

Image:Alana.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Petey edit

I'd hesitate to say Petey is like any other 10-year-old boy. He doesn't seem to fit in with the other kids, having interests other kids definitely do not share. 67.71.143.116 (talk) 19:30, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I fully agree, Petey is a geek and his classmates say "Why an alien would visit a nerd like you". Describing him as a normal boy is nonsense --80.67.176.85 (talk) 19:35, 29 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why does "Great Disaster" direct here? edit

I clicked the link on the Tileline of the DC Universe page to read about what was called The Great Disaster, but ended up here. Is there another page that is missing or should be linked to some place else? 70.108.65.122 (talk) 23:13, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't think a page bout the DC universe is in existance. I will remove the link from the page.--NeilEvans (talk) 23:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Show Aired On YTV In 1990 edit

Why is it that dates have always been screwed up, IMDb is the worse one IMHO, but I was watching this on YTV in 1990, unfortunately I didn't see the second series until many years later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.201.116.123 (talk) 07:06, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Aired in 1990 in Australia, not 1992 edit

The show was shown in Australia in 1990, not 1992, as the article states. Davez621 (talk) 18:18, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
