Christian influence

edit

is there anyone who can find information on the fray as having christian influences? that's a widely held rumor, and they are a "christian" band, or at least are christians themselves, but that hasn't been addressed (either to confirm, or deny) in the article

  • The Fray are pretty popular with Contemporary Christian audiences, especially since all of the members went to Christian academies. However, they say that they don't intentionally write for a Christian audience [1] Teemu08 05:07, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I added the CCM Wikiproject tab on the top, primarily because the Fray does play on some CCM stations, and are a part of the project. Casey14 17:13, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I removed the CCM - I plan to do so on the project to. If the Fray say they don't do christian music - then who are we to say they do? That's insane. Daniel()Folsom |\T/|\C/|\U/|(Can you help me with my signature?) 17:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Being a part of a certain wikiproject does not mean that they are a part of the genre. They Fray's music plays on CCM and Christian Rock stations. They are also charted on CCM and Christian Rock charts. Those two criterion both qualify them for the CCM Music Wikiproject even if they say they are CCM or not. They are important to the project, and a part of the project, thus the link to the project will stay. Casey14 23:56, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would just like to point out that Jesusfreakhideout.com says, quote, "As of early 2011, The Fray has been exhibiting behavior (including using profanity and mocking fans who question their usage of it) that JFH does not support. In response to this, we have removed them from the Artists Database and will cease covering the band indefinitely."

THIS needs to be incorporated into the article.RhettGedies (talk) 23:45, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
