Notability edit

I've removed the Notability tag, since it clearly fits under the Music category, and has notability thusly. It seems as if the original editor who placed the tag on the page was unfamiliar with what this page was about. If anyone disagrees (unlikely), feel free to reinsert it, but I feel that particularly with how the article has evolved, it is now unnecessary to have the Notability tag.--Ramrod? 05:54, 30 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cover edit

There is another cover somewhere on this site. Just type in The Diary of Jane in the search bar. But the pic is tiny, and would look really bad when blown up. Does anybody know if it can be found somewhere else. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 23:56, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Doj-thumb.jpg edit

Image:Doj-thumb.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Alternative metal would sound better than nu metal. Nu metal is mostly a nickname. MsBlackworld (talk) 10:57, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

"Mostly a nickname" what?? - GunMetal Angel 06:07, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I apologize if my last comment didn't make sense. I simply meant that I thought alt metal was the more professional term for this style of music similar to how post-hardcore is the professional term for screamo. MsBlackworld (talk) 14:33, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how The Dairy of Jane is nu-metal. Motion to change to post-grunge, alternative metal. ChauffWiki (talk) 15:24, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how it isn't. Take out Benjamin Burnley's vocals and put in David Draimin's or Amy Lee's rather than his and you'd see absolutely no difference. Yes, what I am saying is this song could be easily a Disturbed or Evanescence song with nothing more than just changing the vocals to accept that easier. BB has been sourced as post-grunge, alt metal, alt rock and nu metal and this is pretty much their most nu metal song ever released. • GunMetal Angel 16:20, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

This song isn't Nu Metal,it lacks so many things to be in that genre.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hangingmanpeter0 (talkcontribs) 04:41, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cool story, bro • GunMetal Angel 06:56, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

There are no Nu-Metal elements in this song whatsoever. No rap-influenced vocals, no turntables, no funk leanings, nothing. As a matter of fact, the chugging that you hear throughout the song, the occasional harsh vocals and the breakdown make it more Metalcore-influenced than anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.81.133.208 (talk) 22:45, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
