Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted because it's part of the bibliography of the New York Times bestselling and award-winning author Joy Fielding. CerberaOdollam (talk) 12:58, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

CerberaOdollam Please see: Wikipedia:Copyrights
You cannot simply copy and paste the synopsis of a novel from a copyrighted source. You've done this and quite a number of cases all of which need to be removed. This is very important.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:09, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sphilbrick This had pre-existing versions, so I've reverted to them and revdeleted CerberaOdollam blatant copyright infringements.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:32, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Fuhghettaboutit As soon as you said that, I recall that it had been created from a dab page. I'm not sure how best to handle that — if I know that in advance should I mention it in the CSD? If so, I'm not sure how.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:38, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sphilbrick When a page has a place to revert to that is not a copyright violation, never mark it under G12. Rather, what you do is revert to the last good version, and then ask for revision deletion of the infringing edits in the page history using {{Copyvio-revdel}}. I recently updated that template's documentation to make targeting the correct "oldids" much clearer. By the way I am up to my neck in dealing with the above user's serial copyright violations. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:45, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Duh, of course. Sorry I missed that.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:46, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
