Article insufficiently explains the difference betweenThe Dean Martin Show vs the Dean Martin Variety Show

edit

The lead mentions that the The Dean Martin Show vs the Dean Martin Variety Show where two different programs but it needs to better explain the difference between he two, given that no Wikipedia article currently exists for the variety hour. Doing a quick Google search I get the impression the Variety show was a series of specials between 1959 and 1960, not a regular series. If that is correct then that should be mentioned in the article as it currently makes it seem in the lead that he had a regular series between 1959-1960 called the Dean Martin Variety Show but does not explain why it was canceled or what network it was on. If i am wrong and it was not a series of special bu a regular but short lived series then we should mention that in the article and explain how he went from that show to the longe running The Dean Martin Show. Was it on the same network and the latter show was just a retooled version or was on another network and the NBC simply retooled the concept more successfully? If he got The Dean Martin Show as a result of several successful specials in '59/'60 then we should add that in as background info. Anyways, anyone who knows enough about the nature of the predecessor variety show he hosted prior should clarify the relationship better should do so. --2600:1700:56A0:4680:B9B9:98D1:D5B6:35FE (talk) 22:31, 1 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
