Plot summary error

I'm not really one for editing but having read the book the psycho-probing was not undertaken by the government of Sark but by a Florinian Townman seeking independence for his planet. The Florinians are certainly repressed enough, but the analogy is somewhat dubious, since plantation owners in the U.S. south were often quite closely involved in the management of slaves, while most Sarkites in the Asimov novel are far removed socially (and often geographically as well) from where the kyrt cultivation is going on. I reversed changed that brought the book into line with what a racist would want to read about. The original had no speculation: just a fair summary of what the book actually says. The crop is 'kurt', and a mutant version of cotton, but the natives are lighter-skinned than their rulers. All a complete accident?--GwydionM (talk) 11:57, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
