Rachet quote edit
There was a referenced quote from Guy Rachet. However, the translation is poor and I could not really get a precise enough sense of what he was trying to say, and the French original is offline, so I removed it. It was:

I removed the maps from the article on the grounds that 1) They are much to general to illustrate the concept, and 2) this seems to be some kind of fringe theory, and the maps kind of WP:MASK this by implying that all this has been laid out geographically. The maps were:

"See also" edit
I'm not super happy with the "See also" section, as the links provided don't appear to really have much to do with the theory, at least not directly. Persons visiting these links would find interesting information about the early Romanians but not (in my quick scan) anything about early Latin coming from the Balkans. But I'm leaving them anyway.
