"It is often considered to be one of the first horror films."

I would take exception to this phrase, since there were numerous other films released in the silent era of the 1920's which can be considered horror - Lon Chaney Sr. appearances in London After Midnight and Phantom of the Opera, and the F.W. Murnau directed Nosferatu just to name three.

Also, Universal's Dracula and Frankenstein were both released in 1931, three years before this film was. --The Kevin 01:29, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
