Creation of New Redirect from Outcome of Articles for Deletion edit

After the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Chasan Villa, the administrator who closed the AfD mentioned that editors could “place a redirect on-top of the deletion and merge in some of the content, they can through normal editorial channels.” That maintenance has been completed and the corresponding Talk page has been created with this message. The AfD closer mentioned the possibility of redirecting to Roslyn Chasan, not Fred Chasan. I've fixed the redirect. BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 19:44, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Discussion of Sources for Article on The Chasan Villa edit

After the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Chasan Villa, the administrator who closed the AfD mentioned that editors “further explore this issue” around sources that could count for notability. As part of the follow-up maintenance, I am making a running list of sources that have been brought up which include The Chasan Villa. This is intended to be a discussion where editors can add / strike / remove sources (please list rationale when doing so):

These sources are generally very low quality.
    1. Looks like an RS, but coverage in a small local newspaper doesn't contribute a great deal toward notability.
    2. Seems to be just a passing mention.
    3. This book appears to be just a list of building permits pulled. The criteria for "major construction project" can't be that stringent, since there seem to have been at least a dozen of them in Palos Verdes Heights in 1979 alone.
    4. The court records are a primary source, and generally not usable.
5.The LA Weekly story looks very much like paid/sponsored content.
6/7/8. The Film Daily source is definitely not RS, it's a pay-to-post site.
    9. BI is generally a legit site, but that post (on their African site, for some reason) looks very much like paid content.
    10. Travelers Today looks to be the same thing as Film Daily.
It's also interesting that all these articles (#5-10) have been posted to the web suddenly in the last month. If anyone were to want to use any of the articles (#5-10), it would certainly be appropriate to check at WP:RSN before doing so. I posted there about Film Daily, as a followup from the AfD. Following up on this, WP:RSN has said that Film Daily is not a reliable source: Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#Filmdaily.co. I'll continue to post sources here if any more appear in research on the topic. Editchecker123 (talk) 05:16, 13 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
