As Georges Delerue had one Oscar and three Oscar nominations by this point, the BBC hiring him to do the score is evidence that they thought of this as a prestige show. I've added his credit, which is attested to by Screenonline[1] as well as the despised IMDb.com and his own Wikipedia article. Per$1$tenceofv1$1on (talk) 19:59, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

The article currently mentions 'credible locations and excellent cinematography'. Apart from the obvious subjectivity of this statement, it contrasts strongly with the comment on the BFI website: 'The limitations of its studio-bound, all-video production added to its woes...' Perhaps it might be easier just to take this out! Per$1$tenceofv1$1on (talk) 22:32, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've added a little info about the Italian location shooting - it appears that this would account for about 30% of the finished product (and if my memories of '80s British TV are correct it would be normal for outdoor scenes to have been filmed but the majority of footage to have been taped in a studio). At least one British newspaper reviewer praised Kenneth McMillan's cinematography so I'll hopefully add this at some point. Per$1$tenceofv1$1on (talk) 20:11, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
