the wife’s tourette-syndrom

Is it really the way that Margaret’s »tourette-syndrom» is a motivation for Paul to attempt all what he did? I don’t think so. Robin Williams plays a character who is too weak to go straight forward in live. Instead he spends his intelligence on frauds of all kinds especially frauding insurances. His profession is travel agent. Does he really knows about the voyage of his life? Of course not. Travel agents give their best in improvisation not in assembling schedules. And the moral is that in an evolutionary philosophy one must admit that this way of live — frauding improvisation — often is succesfull. The scene with one of the hitmen who takes the role of the philosopher in this movie by telling Margaret about her »Hypochondriac or The Imaginary Invalid« shows this together with the scene where Paul and Margaret receive a letter from another insurance telling them that Margaret’s tourette-syndrom isn’t subject to financial advantages. a.gerold@pps.de 213.61.227.97 (talk) 09:43, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
