Talk:The Beginning Stages of...

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Aervanath in topic Move?

is the personnel list complete? St Vincent seems to have been with the group at about that time (haven’t found a definitive source). As weak evidence, in her appearance on NPR’s Fresh Air on April 23, 2024, they played the opening bars of Light and Day. Not enough evidence to include her, but enough that we should flag the personnel list as possibly incomplete.

Why is this classified as Pop?

edit

I can see the Spree fitting under many categories, but Pop is not one of them. "The term [Pop] indicates specific stylistic traits such as an emotional singing style, lyrics about love or sex, danceable beat, clear melodies, simple harmonies and repetitive structure so that people can catch on and join in." Except for the repetitive structure, to an extent, I don't think so! Cheezmeister 19:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Let's see then. A quick Google search reveals the following usages:

"The Beginning Stages Of...":

"The Beginning Stages of...":

Uses both:

Now, this may be biased toward the first one since many sites use the "capitalize every word" rule, unlike Wikipedia. Whatever way you look at it, this is a very close call. Jafeluv (talk) 20:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
