Abbey Road and Let It Be in mono edit

I believe 'fold down' mono versions of these were released in some countries, not the UK or US though. Will try to find a reliable source for this. Skylarkingnz (talk) 04:28, 18 September 2009 (UTC)SkylarkingnzReply

I believe they were, but only in Brazil. BTLizard (talk) 15:51, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

No controversy over missing material? edit

Considering the costs of the box sets, I'm surprised there's no controversy over the fact the Mono set omits the DVD bonus, as well as the remaining albums. Stereo or mono notwithstanding, it forces people to spend hundreds more if they want a complete canon, or having to deal with the stereo versions and skip this one if they want the full set plus the DVD. And in some places - Amazon.com for certain - the mono set is more expensive. Hasn't there been any criticism as to how this was handled? If so, it should be noted. On a related note, I have heard anecdotally that the Beatles releases are being called the last hurrah for the CD format. This too needs to be included in both this article and the Stereo set article, if a source can be located, of course. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 15:04, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article should only discuss a controversy if there is evidence of one. You indicated you haven't heard any objections, so why expect any discussion of that in the article? Personally, I am not perturbed by the differences between the two box sets, and I've bought both. — John Cardinal (talk) 16:22, 22 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

This set was created for the serious Beatles collector, not the average or casual fan. More than likely, the person who purchased this collection almost certainly bought the stereo set, the individual remastered stereo discs or already possessed the original CD issues.

Counterfeits edit

There is a great deal of discussion in the amazon.com forums about counterfeits of both the mono and stereo sets. Perhaps the existence of the counterfeits ought to be mentioned in the article.

Availability edit

Hi. Someone keeps appending "Nearly one year after release the set is still readily available." Do we have any sources for this information? If not, it should stay out.   — Jeff G.  ツ 02:03, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You can still buy it from The Beatles' official online store. McLerristarr (Mclay1) (talk) 10:04, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's irrelevant whether it's available or not. Radiopathy •talk• 11:01, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

LP vs. CD edit

I get the impression, from looking around on the internet, that The Beatles in Mono was released in 2009 as a box set of vinyl LPs and also as a box set of CDs. And it seems that the 2014 remastered box set was only released on vinyl, not CD. Is that accurate, and can anyone provide a reference for it? I think the article should state clearly what formats the 2009 and 2014 releases are on. Mudwater (Talk) 14:35, 8 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

References aside for the moment, does anyone know the answer? Mudwater (Talk) 03:35, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Original Stereo Mixes edit

I heard that the CD version of this box set also contains the original stereo mixes of Help! and Rubber Soul as bonuses, but the article appears to make no mention of that fact, why is this? 81.155.176.167 (talk) 16:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
