Merger proposal edit

I suggest these articles be merged. If this is the working title then i suggest we merge into this. This article looks better crafted to me anyway. If the final name changes we can always do a "move." -Thibbs (talk) 18:34, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

PS - After completing the move we should request the other page be deleted or we could simply delete everything manually and make it a redirect. -Thibbs (talk) 19:26, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
The reason it looks well-crafted is that most of the content was copied from the Rock Band articles. Also, there are no sources using this title, and the article even specifies that the article will not be "Rock Band"-branded. --Maxamegalon2000 23:29, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Where do you guys want to merge it to? The current state of the article is strange because the source says it's not a Rock Band game. Oren0 (talk) 23:49, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Q Entertainment's involvement edit

Hi, I was surprised to see Q Entertainment listed as a developer for this game. Looking online, I found that there are rumors Q will develop Rock Band: Japan, but are they the same thing? I thought Rock Band: Japan was a different game under development. Do I have it wrong? -Thibbs (talk) 20:25, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

that was my bad. i copied the box thing and i forgot to delete it. i'll fix that. Dmanskater""11"" (talk) 21:58, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rename edit

IGN confirmed that the title is The Beatles. Needs a rename http://ps3.ign.com/objects/142/14294510.html WickedKnightAlbel (talk) 08:48, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

For what its worth, I don't see a strong confirmation that the game is now "officially" called that nor that being the official box art; IGN needed a placeholder for details relating to the game, and since it's not a Rock Band branded song, they changed it to "The Beatles" but there's no HMX confirmation or the like. --MASEM 13:52, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
At a certain point we listen to what third party sources say. If this is going to have an article, it's better to put it here at a name that's been reported than at Beatles Rock Band, a name which IGN reports is no longer being used. I don't believe that IGN made that box art either (would they really have put RP and "not final box art" on it?). I guess the question is if you don't want this to be here where would you have us put it? Oren0 (talk) 18:56, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Let It Be edit

shouldn't Let It Be also be on this game???? it was the last album before they broke up... it'd make sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Estemshorn (talkcontribs) 22:06, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

(Disclaimer: I'm not a Beatles expert) According to this: "Game developers will be able to select 45 songs from the Beatles catalog recorded during their 1962-69 tenure within EMI for inclusion in the game". According to the Wiki page, Let It Be was not released by EMI and came out in 1970, so presumably it wouldn't be included. Oren0 (talk) 22:37, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay...but now i'm sad. no uber piano. but, okay. Estemshorn (talk) 22:45, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Added trivia edit

I just added the only portions of the Beatles Harmonix Project article that didn't survive the merge. I do not do this in support of this material's inclusion, but rather because I'm trying to get Beatles Harmonix Project finally deleted as a duplicate. I prod-tagged it last month, but some scrupulous editor reverted me because, from what I gather, he didn't think the merge was complete. I say feel free to remove what I just added after the Beatles Harmonix Project finally gets deleted. -Thibbs (talk) 16:53, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just a quick thought. If you'd like to help get the duplicate version removed, please seeWP:Proposed deletion#Seconding a proposed deletion as this may tip the balance in favor of deletion. Thanks. -Thibbs (talk) 17:16, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Neutral Box Art edit

The box art depicted in the article is for the PS3, this game is going to be multiplatform, therefore the box art needs to be neutral. Somebody please change it. Doshindude (talk) 20:02, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
