Deletion

I believe that this article should be deleted, in favor of West End Park (Houston, Texas), for these reasons:

1. There is a formally named ballpark at the same location during the same time period.
2. I believe that much of the (very sparse) information in the article is false.
3. The article was created after the favored article, apparently with the incorrect impression of the formal name of the park.
4. The single reference is not authoritative (WP:RS).
5. There is no content in this article that is worth preserving and/or merging.

2nd deletion proposal

At the end of the deletion period of the recent proposal for deletion, someone applied a redirect instead of deleting the article. The change was made without discussion and without explanation. There is no such place in Houston named "The Ball Park" and there never was. There have been many places throughout time and throughout the world that people have called "the ball park", but never as an actual name of a specific ball park in Houston. Additionally, there are no wikilinks to this article from non-admin articles. —Danorton (talk) 21:49, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
