First published date

edit

I've changed the first published date to 1901.

The copy I have is dated 1901 and there's no mention of it being a reprint (though admittedly there's very little printing information given at all). The earliest entry in the British Library is also dated 1901.

The fact that the movie was released in 1976 lends itself to the 1901 release date, as this would be the year it went into the public domain.

Is this relevant enough to warrant a link?

While it "takes its title from" the book, and uses it as the jumping off point for the essay, I'm not convinced that the essay can be classed as being about the book, and am therefore not sure about the legitimacy of a link to it here.

Digital Copy

edit

Does anyone have or can anyone find a digital copy of this that can be posted to Wikisource. It's been public domain for 30 years, and I can't find a free copy anywhere. I'm happy to do the posting if needed.--LostCause1979 (talk) 23:26, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
