Review and notice of keep

Hi,

I am the original writer for this page and have just noticed the discussion that has taken place. Could you please clarify why this was reviewed for deletion and also if it has cleared, how do we get the warnings removed?

Also I find it comical that someone can rate this page as a "hoax". Did they bother to read anything on the page and also visit any of the links?

Your assistance in getting this page back up to Wikipedia standards is greatly appreciated.

Hi Gerard,

This page was nominated for deletion by discussion (known as "Articles for deletion") based on one user's opinion that it does not satisfy the notability standard (specifically, the notability standard for organizations) required for inclusion in Wikipedia. However, examination by the editors who commented on the deletion discussion determined that it does fulfill the requirements, and so I closed the deletion discussion as "keep" after an appropriate length of time. Since the discussion also noted a number of problems with the article, though, I chose to add some notices indicating what I saw to be the most outstanding problems--these are not "official" notices or warnings so much as they are tools to alert you and other editors to fixable problems with the article, and you are free to remove them at any time.

As for the claim that this article was a hoax, I specifically ignored that comment when closing the discussion based on the incontrovertable evidence to the contrary. One of the things you need to remember about deletion discussions is that they are not a vote, and the closing administrator (or editor, in uncontroversial cases like this one) is free to ignore any spurious arguments for or against deletion. In fact, there is a whole list of arguments to avoid in deletion discussions if you'd like to have a look.
