What did you like best about this book?

This is a compelling story on several levels - a cultural tale of traditional inequities and injustices (horrors, actually); an unfolding, very hopeful, slowly developing but deep love story, the blending of two cultures; an unexpected and inspiring spiritual journey for the protagonist and his love--the reader applauds the doctor's change, his awakening and dedication to his missions and his personal spiritual growth. These storylines are woven together in settings out of a colorful travelogue on India, and mixed with fast paced action and adventure. The author's narrative prose and dialogue successfully move the story along, making this novel a real page-tuner. Mr. Memon has used his writing talents and Indian past to develop a rich substantive, interesting read.
