Toned down advertising level edit

This was written as a blatant advertisement. I've made it reasonably neutral.

This is a notable product, with many news stories. Good sources are available. Please try to tie any additional material to reliable sources. Thanks. --John Nagle (talk) 02:31, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

A message User_talk:Nagle#TexasPete has been placed on my talk page by {{user | 71.76.232.244}, who identifies himself (giving an email address) as a marketing rep for Texas Pete (a BBQ sauce) and is presumably the same person as Helmstetler (talk · contribs). He is displeased with his promotional material being deleted. Please help educate him. Thanks. --John Nagle (talk) 05:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've dropped him a note on your page. I was unsure about using his IP, as it may be dynamic. However, feel free to cut and paste my message over to his talk page if you feel it more appropriate. Thanks. Law type! snype? 05:36, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
A series of edits by Helmstetler (talk · contribs) turned this into a promotional article. Reverted. See above discussion re a similar event in 2009. --John Nagle (talk) 03:39, 22 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

SuperTed edit

No, I don't think it is unlikely. I came to this page precisely because I was looking for Texas Pete from SuperTed. We may as well keep it. Unless I hear a good reason to definitely not have a disambiguation about a SuperTed character them I am going to add it again.Eugene-elgato (talk) 19:43, 10 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lawsuit edit

Maybe the new lawsuit against 'Texas Pete' should be mentioned in the article? Abandonee (talk) 21:59, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Carcinogen edit

I removed the section on Carcinogen, as it cites to source specific to this particular brand, and instead draws together a variety of sources to assert a fact. This is original research, specifically WP:SYNTH. SeaphotoTalk i
